Jasper Commons is a community-centered space designed to support connection, creativity, and wellbeing. Located in the heart of Jasper, the building brings together a range of spaces that encourage both social interaction and quiet reflection. The goal of Jasper Commons is to provide a welcoming environment where community members can gather, learn, work, and access supportive resources in a calm and comfortable setting.

The building is organized around a large central commons area that serves as the heart of the space. This open gathering area connects visitors to different parts of the building and provides flexible seating for informal meetings, events, and everyday community use. A small café and seating area create an inviting place for people to relax, socialize, or work, while a nearby library and reading space offer a quieter environment for study and reflection.

Along one side of the building are a series of private counselling and support rooms designed to provide a comfortable and confidential setting for therapy sessions, meetings, or personal conversations. These rooms are separated from the main communal spaces to ensure privacy while still remaining accessible within the building.

On the opposite side of the commons, a makerspace and creative workshop area provide opportunities for hands-on learning and collaboration. This space allows community members to explore creative projects, participate in workshops, and develop practical skills in a supportive environment.

The design of Jasper Commons emphasizes openness, natural light, and clear connections between spaces. The crescent-shaped form helps guide movement through the building while creating a sense of enclosure and community around the central commons. Large windows and open interior layouts allow the space to feel bright, welcoming, and connected to the surrounding landscape.
